THE SPRINGWOOD ART SHOW
PROUDLY PRESENTED BY SPRINGWOOD HIGH SCHOOL P & C

The Springwood Art Show is a remarkable example of the partnership between Springwood High School, parents and the community. The Springwood Art Show has been hosted by the SHS P & C, with help from additional parent and community volunteers, for the past 34 years. The show itself provides a unique opportunity for local and interstate artists to showcase and sell their art and craft. The event not only fosters economic development in the arts but also provides a unique framework for parents to use their diverse skills to support and enrich the educational development of their children.

The Springwood Art Show is held on the last weekend of August.

Our mission at Springwood is:

Springwood High School is a Department of Education and Training High School, located in Faulconbridge in the Blue Mountains. The high school is close to Faulconbridge Public School, and the Great Western Highway.

The grounds of the school complement the attractive surroundings and provide a pleasant environment for study and recreation.

Springwood has been recognised for its excellence in the creative and performing arts over the years and the curriculum is balanced by excellent academic results across the school and a strong emphasis on sport and athletics. Springwood provides quality educational programs for our students to develop their knowledge and skills for life in the twenty – first century. We offer a broad range of subjects which allow students to develop and grow to achieve their full potential in the School Certificate and Higher School certificate.

The size of the school ensures a caring learning environment and individual attention for all our students. We provide a complete and comprehensive range of subject choices. Academic, creative, social, technical and sporting skills are developed in a manner that best prepares each student for the years ahead. The dedication of the teaching staff and motivation of the student body is reflected in our school motto of “Press onwards” We are well supported with many extra- curricula activities and 3 newly equipped technology rooms.
